Dressage Ride-A-Test Show and Clinic - January 12th, 2013
Starwood Sporthorses is excited to announce our first ride-a-test event at our new facility! This event is a great way to get ready for your 2013 show season! Our judge and clinician, Christie Slayton, is a UDSF “L” judge and Bronze and Silver medalist, with extensive show ring experience.
Organized as part horse show and part clinic, each horse and rider combination will choose a test, and the first ride will be judged and scored. After the first test, Christie will spend approximately 10 minutes working with each pair, focusing on ways to improve your scores. After a short break, the pair will ride their chosen test again and will receive brief personal comments.
This is a great way to get some show ring experience in a relaxed atmosphere and gain insight into how judges score your rides. Awards will be given by level (Intro, Training, First, etc) for each test, as well as special awards for highest combined score average, most improved score, and more.
Entry fee for each horse/rider combination is $60.00 (includes both tests and coaching session). Only a limited number of rides are available due to scheduling, so please register early! Entries must be received by January 7th, 2013. Online entries are greatly preferred, and we accept PayPal and all major credit/debit cards.
